Rosemary I. Lesak, 92, of Streator passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Ottawa Pavilion in Ottawa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 31st at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Rev. Fr. Bowan Schmitt will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 31st at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 A.M.
Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Luke, Robby, Grant, Justin, Kurtis, Allison and Cody. Honorary pallbearers will be, Jessica, Sam, Angela and Lauren.
Born July 12, 1930 in Streator she was the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Konchar) Gutek. She married George A. Lesak on July 26, 1949 at St. Stephen's Church, Streator. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2021.
She is survived by sons, Richard (Sallie) Lesak of Streator, Ronald (Kathy) Lesak of Streator, Thomas (Marta) Lesak of Alvin and Daniel (Cathy) Lesak of Huntley; a daughter, Susan (David) Ainsley of Streator; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, William Gochanour; a granddaughter Michelle Lesak and a grandson, Brett Ainsley.
Born and raised in Streator she attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School.
Rosemary was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family very much. She worked various jobs through the years but was primarily a homemaker. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
