Born: August 26, 1934 in Seneca, IL
Died: August 8, 2024 in Ottawa, IL
Shirley Lyle, 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.
She loved crafts, cooking, euchre, her card club, and the Chicago Cubs. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She battled scleroderma for 25 years with grace and dignity. She is survived by James, her devoted husband of 69 years, daughters Lori Bowers (Bob), Sandy Lunt (Alex), Sue Lyle (Bonnie), son James (Betsy), 7 grand and 9 great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made to the National Scleroderma Foundation.

I am Nancy (Worsley) Roberts. We lived next door to the Lyle´s on Fremont St. Shirley was one of the Moms in the neighborhood. Besides our Mom, Katherine, there was Shirley, Dorothy Sandrolini, Betty Pandolfi & Mrs. Prettyman!! All of these women took care of us kids in the neighborhood!! All kind, attentive & beautiful, like Shirley!! Weren´t we lucky?!! God bless Shirley & her family! God bless the Moms of our old neighborhood

I bowled qith Shurley at Carretto's Lanes. She was a very sweet Classy Lady always. So very sorry for your Loss.
