Stefanie Sullivan Obituary

Stefanie Roxanne Sullivan
Born: November 30, 1965
Died: January 2, 2025
Stefanie Roxanne Sullivan (Burrs) passed away on January 2nd, 2025, at the age of 59.
Stefanie was known for her kind heart, resilience, and unwavering love and support for her family and community.
Stefanie was born on November 30, 1965, in Dixon, IL to her parents, Nancy and Tom. She grew up with four brothers: Tom, Pete, Chris, and Kyle. She graduated from Dixon High School in 1983. She found passion in reading, gardening, and Chicago sports.
Stefanie welcomed four children: Haley, Caiti, Ben, and Alli. She dedicated much of her time to raising and caring for them. She was always determined to be the best mom she could be and that she was. Her children cherish all the lessons they learned from her and all the memories they shared together.
Stefanie rejoined the workforce in 1998 as a teacher's aide at Seneca Grade school where she supported teachers and students. She loved interacting with the kids and helping them learn. She especially found pleasure in the arts and crafts.
Stefanie brought Tropical Sno to the community of Seneca in 2003. She committed to providing an excellent experience and frequently remembered what flavors her customers regularly ordered. It brought her great joy to see everyone enjoying their sno cones.
Stefanie was elated when she became a grandmother to two grandchildren, Millie and Maggie. They enjoyed spending their time together reading, baking, hiking, and going on adventures. Millie and Maggie brought so much energy and excitement in to her life.
Stefanie later worked as a technology coordinator at Reddick Public Library where she helped the community of Ottawa with online services. She found her place there among the books she loved, the supportive staff that became great friends, and the thoughtful patrons she always looked forward to seeing.
Above all, Stefanie's life was defined by the love she shared with her family. We will all miss her fiercely.
She is survived by her children, Haley (Nathan) Bookhout, Caitlin Blalock, Benjamin (Kelsey) Blalock, and Allison Blalock; grandchildren, Amelia and Marjorie Bookhout; parents, Nancy Naylor and Thomas(Roxanne) Burrs; and brothers, Thomas (Regina) Burrs, Peter Burrs, Christopher (Karen) Coss, and Kyle (Darla) Coss.
A memorial visitation will be held at Hank's Farm in Ottawa, IL on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 from 1:30 - 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, Stefanie requested that donations be made to the Reddick Public Library District.
