"Randy” Raymond Ross, a cherished member of the Tifton, Georgia community, passed away at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia on March 15, 2024. He was born on August 7, 1951, in Tifton, Georgia to his parents, Anna Bryan Ross and the late Raymond Ross, Sr.  Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his Father-in-law, Harold G. Harper, Sr. and his Mother-in-law, Clarita Johnston.
 
Funeral Services honoring Randy will be held on March 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Aaron Frasier and Rev. Larry Layfield officiating. The interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors. 
 
His nephews, Justin Milam, Jacob Harper, Griffin Harper, Blake Folsom, Brian Ross, Jamie Hornbuckle and Matt Howell will serve as pallbearers. His shooting club will serve as honorary pallbearers.
 
Randy led a fulfilling and successful life as a self-employed individual in the real estate and gas station business. His entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as he navigated through his career with dedication and passion.
 
Randy was known for his quick wit and being a devoted father to Jason and Jared.  Randy also held the titles of grandfather and loving husband with great pride and joy. Countless memories were created with his boys during camping and rafting trips along the Alapaha and Flint rivers, creating experiences that will be treasured forever. 
 
In the realm of education, Randy graduated from Tift County High School in 1970 and further pursued his academic journey at Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College.
 
Randy's endearing personality truly shone when he embraced the role of "Paw Paw" to his beloved grandchildren. The time spent with them held a special place in his heart. He loved riding them to the Ty Ty store on his ATV where they could get everything they could carry.
 
A man of profound character and unwavering love, Randy leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him. While he may no longer be physically present, his spirit lives on through the memories he created and the love he shared.
 
Along with his Mother, Randy is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Donna Harper Ross of Tifton, his sons and daughters-in- law, Jason and Miranda Ross of Augusta and Jared and Alison Ross of Tifton, his grandchildren, Harper Rae Ross, Davis Ross, Ellis Ross and John Harper Ross, his brother and sister-in-law Rusty and Carol Ross of Thomasville, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Gale and David Jenkins of Hayesville, NC, Carla Hornbuckle of Tifton and Debbie and Bill Turton of Cordele, along with his Mother-in-law, Dot Harper of Tifton.
