"Riggs" Arthur Riggs

Lory Arthur Riggs, better known as "Riggs," 64 of Wintersville OH, formerly of Mingo Junction OH, passed away on December 27, 2024, surrounded by family, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Riggs was born on April 29, 1960 to the late Arthur C. Riggs and Grace E. (Wright) Riggs.

He had 5 siblings: Gus, Ron, Eddy, Bert, and the late Sandy.

After graduating from Mingo High School in 1979 and serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1982 until 1985, Riggs spent most of his life working as a truck driver. He worked for several companies throughout the years, but most loved working for LaRue Trucking, where he was employed until his death. Riggs will be most remembered for his quirky humor along with his love of eagles and all things Christmas.

In addition to his parents and sister, Riggs was preceded in death by sisters-in-law Kimberly Dixon and Michelle "Mikki" Vein.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Riggs, stepdaughters Monica and husband Michael Hollen, Rachael and husband Scott Johnson, and Olivia Hasley; grandchildren Avery, Remington, Maxson, Carter, and Melina; sister-in-law Ginny (Michael) Wilson, brothers-in-law Sam Vein and George Vein; and daughter Kayla Riggs. Friends and family will be received on Monday December 30, 2024 at the Schuetz Funeral Home 235 Clifton Ave Mingo Jct. OH from 3- 7pm  with services at 6 pm with Susan Clegg officiating.
