Aaron "Penn" Brunner

It is with heartfelt sadness and gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Aaron "Penn" Brunner, who left us on December 11, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on November 10, 1949, to the late Delbert Brunner Sr. and Syretha Brunner, Aaron was a beloved member of the Canton, Ohio community. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Aaron was a dedicated family man and is survived by his son, Sean Jefferson. He was known for his vibrant spirit and unwavering support for his favorite Cleveland sports teams, including the Browns, Cavaliers, and especially the Guardians. His passion for these teams was a reflection of his enthusiastic
approach to life and his ability to rally those around him for moments of joy and camaraderie. A cherished member of the Southeast Church of Christ, Aaron was an active participant in his community and faith, sharing his wisdom and love with those fortunate enough to cross his path. His kindness, laughter, and devotion to family and friends will resonate in our hearts forever. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings James Brunner, Ruth Slay, Linda Jean Brunner, Katherine Brunner, Lily Esther Brunner, and Delbert Brunner Jr. He is survived by his son Sean Jefferson of Massillon, sisters Effie James of West Palm Beach, Sarah Pride of Chicago, Augustine of Florida, and Helen Ann Brunner of Canton, brother Paul Brunner of Canton, special cousin Willadean Kidd, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, best friend Charles
"Buck 80"; Frank Lackey, and caretaker Iris Holston.
The Funeral Service will take place at the Southeast Church of Christ 1424 Allen Ave SE Canton, OH 44707 on December 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM with James Slay Jr. officiating. Prior to the service, there will be Calling Hours held at the church from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In celebrating Aaron's life, we reflect on the love, laughter, and cherished memories he provided. He may have left this world, but his spirit will live on in our hearts and in the many lives he touched. Let us come together to share stories, honor his memory, and celebrate the remarkable man that he was.
