Rev. Aaron Cline Cutrer, Sr. entered eternal rest on Thursday morning, July 31, 2025. Born on August 4, 1925, in Roseland, Louisiana, to the late Melinda and Willie Cutrer, Sr. Aaron's life was marked by unwavering faith, dedicated service, and a deep love for family and community. He was baptized early in life by Rev. McCoy at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church in Roseland Louisiana, and later joined Starlight Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a deacon, choir member, Sunday School teacher, and ultimately as a Baptist minister, fulfilling his calling to serve God's people.

Aaron's path to a distinguished career in education began with his graduation from Tangipahoa Parish Training School in Kentwood, Louisiana, continue with a degree from Southern University in Vocational Agriculture and Elementary Education. He dedicated many years to teaching at Armstrong Elementary and Midland High School, inspiring countless students. A proud U. S. Army veteran, Aaron served during World War II, stationed at Tinian Island in Guam, where he played a vital role in guarding the storage area of the atomic bomb known as "Little Boy." After his military service, he worked with Baroid Industries as a Mud Engineer for approximately 15 years until his retirement.

In addition to his professional and spiritual commitments, Aaron was a dedicated Mason. He was a valued member of RU Clark Lodge No. 194 in Rayne, Louisiana, where he served as Secretary under the direction of Worshipful Master Dallas Wilson for 18 years, exemplifying leadership, integrity, and brotherhood.

Aaron was united in marriage to Helen Richmond, and together they raised six children: Sharlotte, Aaron Jr., Kim, Eric, Loranda, and Derrick. Family, faith, and church were the cornerstones of his life. He was a loving Christian, Baptist minister, educator, father, grandfather, Mason, and friend who touched the spiritual lives of those he encountered. Aaron believed in encouraging and nurturing dreams, promoting growth and fulfillment in all aspects of life. His legacy of faith, service, and love continues to live on in the hearts of all whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melinda and Willie Sr.; his wife, Helen; daughters Sharlotte and Kim; four brothers-Clayton, Vernon, Willie Jr. and Louis; and four sisters-Ora Lee, Jackie, Mackie, and Fairydean.

Aaron leaves to cherish his memory his children, Aaron Jr. (Paula), Eric Sr., Loranda, and Derrick; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his Mason brothers and sisters; and a host of relatives and friends.

The consummate soldier and an inspiring minister and teacher, he will be deeply missed by many. I was a part of his congregation and he counseled me and my husband. Aaron was completely devoted to serving others and sharing the word of the Lord. His sermons were always so powerful and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your life with us, I will never forget you Aaron. Fly high with the angels, rest in peace Aaron.
