Aaron Marcus "Mark" Eudaley was born on September 2, 1930 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Oscar Washington and Anna Eudaley. He was the second son of five children. He passed peacefully from this earth on October 12, 2025 into the hands of his Savior whom he served his entire life.
Mark's father was a Nazarene pastor which took his family to several places including Marlow, Carnegie and Fredrick, Oklahoma as well as Emporia and Wichita, Kansas. He served in the Navy after his high school graduation and then again during the Korean War. Afterwards, he attended and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Architectural Engineering.
During his college years, Mark met and married his wife of 70 years, Jacquetta Defoyd Eudaley. They had 3 children and enjoyed a full life together of family, friends and faith. Mark served on the church board and building committee of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene for 40 years. He was involved in many civic and church activities and organizations, including Bethany Kiwanis for over 50 years.
Mark was a "renaissance" man and lived life to its fullest. He was a painter, carver, wood worker, backpacker, hunter, fisherman, golfer (playing many courses throughout the US and the world), avid photographer (he even developed his own film), world traveler (43 countries!), generous giver, leader, loyal friend to many, and a prolific writer, leaving behind a treasure trove of his thoughts regarding his life. He also embraced technology, science and math in his profession of structural engineering. He started Mark Eudaley Engineers in 1962, and it is still in existence today with his son, Cabot Eudaley, who followed in his footsteps.
In his writings, Mark spoke often of the godly legacy of his heritage and the tremendous impact it had on his decisions throughout his life. He ended the epilogue of his autobiography with this, which sums up his fervor for life, "This is not the end of the story. It has no end. The effect of our prayers and lives of our great-grandparents, our grandparents, our parents, we parents, relatives and friends will still live on in the generations to come. "
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Jacquetta; and children, Cabot Eudaley and wife Jill Eudaley, Lisa Yates and husband Curtis Yates, and Jenna Lohrey and husband Jay Lohrey; as well as grandchildren, Kristen Mort and husband Gary, Levon Eudaley and wife Adriana, Elliot Eudaley and wife Allison, Samantha Yates, Abigail Yates, Sawyer Yates, John Aaron Lohrey and wife Sarah, Lily Terry and husband Zach and Molly Lohrey; and great grandchildren, Sidnee Ober-Singleton, Jude Layton, Tobias Eudaley, Ellie Lohrey and Flora Terry.
Visitation with family present at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service will be Thursday, 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Friday, October 17, 11:00am, at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene with interment following in Bethany Cemetery.
