He was a man whose life was deeply rooted in family, friendship, and community service, embodying the values and dedication that defined his generation.
Born to Elmer Holt and Opal Lindsey, Aaron Sr.’s early years were shaped by the loving guidance of his Granny after the early passing of his mother opal. He later answered the call of duty, serving honorably in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1961. His commitment to his country was a testament to his discipline and steadfast character.

He was passionate about taking rides down the Trace, indulging in sightseeing adventures, and engaging his mind with crossword puzzles. He would often put on Willie's Roadhouse music channel and dance in his sleep to his favorites. He maintained a vibrant spirit and curiosity that enriched those around him.
Aaron was also proud of his affiliations with several respected organizations. He was a dedicated member of the Millrock Freewill Baptist Church, Shriners, Masons, and Eastern Stars. He was proud of and enjoyed Volunteering at the Collinwood Welcome Center. These memberships reflected his commitment to fellowship, charity, and community involvement.
He is survived by three beloved sons: Dan Holt Jr (Janet), Joe Holt (Michelle), and Tim Krueger (Monica). Aaron’s legacy extends through multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who carry forward his spirit and values. His extended family also includes nieces and nephews who held him in great affection. Among his close companions was his good friend Carolyn Adams, who stood by his side through much of his journey.
