Aaron Joseph Robichaux Sr., born June 12, 1941, a native and resident of Chauvin Louisiana passed away on December 18, 2025 to be with Jesus.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at New Life Christian Ministries at 1125 Hwy 55, Montegut, Louisiana from 9am-11am, followed by mass at 11am until the burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chauvin, Louisiana.
Aaron and Nelly were owners of Aaron's Pool Hall from 1970-1982, where they made a lot friends. Aaron then became a licensed charter boat captain. He fished many years at Sportsman's Paradise and Coco Marina while Nelly cleaned the fish and made many more friends.
He attended House of Prayer and Grace Christian, where they made many more friends before becoming members of New Life Christian Ministries in Montegut with brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rev. Tommy and Theresa Neil where he became one of the church's worship leaders, playing guitar, and bass. He would cut grass, cooked for Sunday school kids, carpenter work, participated in food give-aways, many funerals by playing music, and performing in plays. Aaron enjoyed fellowship with family and his children.
In his later years, he enjoyed fishing and teaching people how to fish such as, Chris Hethcoat, Rev. Todd Menard, Kirby Plaisance, Wayne Garber, David Lippman, Bret, Kevin Williams, Tony Angelle, Kevin Crochet and sons, Peter Wolfe, and many, many more.
Aaron also loved hunting deer, often on property M&L Tractor owners, Marvin and Steven Marmande with Brownie Verrett, and Tommy Neil.
Aaron was a happy person; He lived a full life and is dearly missed by many, but won't be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Nelly Dupre Robichaux; son, Randy Robichaux and daughter, Kelly Robichaux Kersey (George), sisters, Norma Sevin and Anna Lee Cheramie; sister-in-law, Mary Robichaux, Theresa Dupre Neil (Tommy) Theresa Dupre, (Wilton); grandchildren, Jonathan Guidry, Kandi Zak (Adam), Tristan Kersey (Samantha), and Randy Robichaux II. great-grandchildren, Jace Guidry, Josiah Zak, Liam Zak, Rowan Zak, Rhett Zak, Emmett Zak, and Bellamy Kersey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Agnolia Chaisson Robichaux; son, Aaron Robichaux Jr.;
daughter, Angela Marie Robichaux; daughter-in-law, Elma Robichaux, brother, Julius (Nu Nu) Robichaux; sisters, Alberta Sexton (Fox), Eveline Theriot (Norris), Ena Luke (Druis Sr.), Etta Ledet (Ivan), Bertha Mae Pellegrin (Steven Sr.); sister-in-law, Delores Dupre Crochet (Albert), mother and father-in-law, Wilton Dupre Sr. and Angelic Dupre Soudelier; step-father-in-law, Paul "Bee" Soudelier; brother-in-laws, Brent Sevin, Kenneth Cheramie, Wilton Dupre Jr.; and many more nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
