With heavy hearts we share the sad news of our beloved Aaron's passing. Aaron was surrounded by his loving family as he slipped away and is now in heavenly peace.
Aaron Kyle Roskowski, 46 years old, of Bend, Oregon was born May 10, 1979, in Newport News, Virginia and was the son of John and Debbie Roskowski and the brother of Ryan and Brandon. Aaron lived most of his life in the western United States including California, Colorado and Oregon. He also lived in Virginia, England and Michigan during his adolescent years.
Aaron's younger days were filled with many family times and lots of sports. He played travel soccer and followed the sport throughout his life. But snowboarding became his passion, and he excelled at it. Our fun-loving son was always on the move during his youth and graduated early from Mona Shores High School in Norton Shores, Michigan so he could move to Colorado to pursue his college degree, his passion for snowboarding and live in the mountains where he could soar through the air on his snowboard. He felt free flying through the sky and breathing the fresh mountain air. He excelled at the sport but was humble about his accomplishments.
Aaron remained close with his high school and college friends. Their friendships were all very special to him. Aaron did not care about material things. It was his love of adventures, fearlessness, time with friends and love of family that made his heart happy. Aaron was a funny, articulate, thoughtful and polite man and had a very sensitive heart. His many friends expressed their sorrow upon learning of Aaron's passing. Aaron's large, loving family is forever grateful for the love and support that his friends expressed.
In 2009 and 2011, the true loves of his life were born. First, his son, Greyson, and later his daughter, Taylor. Aaron was so very proud of them and loved them immensely. Greyson and Taylor were his heart. They never missed a chance to say "I love you" to one another and that made Aaron so happy. Greyson, like Aaron, is fearless and full of passion for motocross racing as Aaron was for snowboarding. Both soft spoken, always going hard. Taylor, so beautiful with a heart so kind and an instinct to know how to make others feel special and loved just like her dad. Aaron was very proud of his children, and we know he will always be watching them from heaven, cheering them on in whatever life has in their futures.
Aaron's fierce love for his brothers Ryan and Brandon was always apparent. They were each other's biggest champions. Their lives moved them a lot, but it didn't matter near or far, they were one another's rock. As parents, we couldn't be prouder or more blessed to have such loving sons.
Aaron was a graduate of Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs, Colorado as well as Western State College of Colorado in Gunnison, Colorado, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration.
Surviving Aaron is his loving family that includes son, Greyson, and daughter, Taylor, of Bend; parents, John and Debbie Roskowski of West Olive, Michigan; oldest brother Ryan Roskowski, wife Julie and their children Kaden and Kayla of Bend, Oregon; and younger brother Brandon Roskowski, wife Kelly and their children Raegan and Westin of Spring Lake, Michigan. He is also survived by numerous loving uncles, aunts and cousins.
We know Aaron would want us to remember him with a smile in our hearts, to hold each other tight and reach out to that friend in need. Aaron loved his children, and he will always be watching over them from heaven. We love you, Aaron. You will forever be loved and missed.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Charles Medical Center of Bend for the professional and loving care provided to Aaron during his stay. The compassion and dedication demonstrated by its staff is what every family would want to have provided for their loved one.
Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home has been retained by the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
