Abdirizak Warsame Ali, age 17, of Willmar, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 23, at his home.

Prayer services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, at the Islamic Society of Willmar Mosque (ALL are welcome!).  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

What to expect:

Males and Females will enter and sit separately in the MosqueDress modestly. Complete coverage of your body is expected. Females are to have their hair covered. Shoes will be removed when entering the MosqueThere is no talking during the time of traditional prayers except by Muslim participants  There is limited parking. Please carpool with friends if you plan on going.All are welcome, however, there will be limited seating. If you are not close with the family, please consider writing a card or sending a note rather than attending.

 

Burial/Cemetery

When: Approximately 1:45 pm

Location: Fairview Cemetery - Willmar (2827 Gorton Ave NW, Willmar, MN 5602)

 

What to expect:

In Muslim tradition, there will be no casket.Males and Females will be in areas separate from each other at the cemetery  Do not park in the inroads of the cemetery. You will need to find street parking and prepare for a longer walk.
