Abner Eloy Jordan Gonzalez, 50, of Worcester, formerly of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, passed away tragically in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Hilda Rosa Jordan (Maldonado); his son, Abner Jordan Jr., and his wife Odaliz De Jesus; his three daughters, Natasha Lee Jordan and her husband Angel Lopez, Deborah Denise Ortiz-Maldonado and her husband Januel Ortiz, and Hilda Abneris Maldonado. He also leaves behind his parents, Reynaldo Jordan Arce and Blanca I. Gonzalez Gonzalez; two brothers, Roberto Pagan and Reinaldo Jordan and his wife Vanessa Jordan; three sisters, Janet Ojeda and her husband Miguel Ojeda, Maritza Jordan, and Elizabeth Jordan and her husband Jose Saavedra. Abner will be dearly missed by his four grandchildren—Yaleyshka Marie, Andrea Nicole, Linoshka Liz, and Joshua Eloy—as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Abner was a skilled mechanic by profession and was affectionately known as “MacGyver” for his remarkable ability to fix anything. He had a deep passion for cars, motorcycles, golf, and classic salsa music, but above all, his greatest joy was his family. Abner was a role model to many and will be remembered for his loving spirit, generosity, and devotion to those around him.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A visitation will also be held Tuesday, September 2nd from 10:00am until 11:00am with a funeral service beginning at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
