Abner Merluza Obituary
Abner is survived by his beloved wife, Rosita; his children, Brenda, Robert, and Abner Jr. (Ace); his grandchildren, Bryan, Aidan, Ethan, Charlotte, Jack, Isabel, and Alex; and his great-grandson, Clarke. He is also survived by his siblings, Helen, Filomena, Julieta, Fe, Juanito Jr., Romeo, and Tony. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanito Sr. and Hermogena.
Abner was born on March 30, 1943, in Pagbilao, Quezon in the Philippines and immigrated to New York City in 1971. He eventually settled in Jersey City, where he resided for 40 years, building a loving home and raising his family.
Visitation for Abner will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 4:00 - 9:00 PM at Greenville Memorial Home, 374 Danforth Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07305. The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, March 14th, at 10 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 691 West Side Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07305. Entombment to follow at Holy Name Mausoleum.
