80 years, peacefully went to be with his sweet saviour early Monday morning, July 10, 2023 after cancer, diabetes and many other health concerns through the last 14 years. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Helen Rempel, his children Catarina Peters (Rick), Abe Rempel deceased, Nancy Froese (Abe), Margaret Quiring (Aaron), Helen Brown (Jeff), Enrique Rempel deceased (Katharina), Benny Rempel deceased, Martha Braun (Ike) and his 21 grandchildren, Nathan (Alison), Ezekiel (Khylah), Justin, Trevor, Estella, Crystal (Mathew), Bianca, Caden, Jocelyn, Dillon, Yolanda, Caroline, Amy, Angie (Luc), Nolan, Nicole, Jerome, Joelle, Hailee, Chanell, Logan and 13 great-grandchildren Creed, Nash, Samuel, Scarlet, Cameron, Clover, Mitchell, Connor, Zeppy, Yarra, Axel, Finn, Alice. Brother to Helen (Diedrich), Agatha (Stan), George (Alice), Tina (Peter), Margaret (Frank), Anna (Neil), Peter, John (Marge).
Abe was a devoted man of God. He was a loving husband, father, Opa and great grandpa to each and every one of his loved ones. He was an amazing leader, deacon and usher touching the heart of each person he spoke to. You never had to wonder where you stood with him as he always spoke his mind and took in each person as his own. He spoke with discernment and with love from God. You could hear his laugh down the halls of any building he was in as he made jokes and poked fun. Something he did till the very end. It is with heavy hearts that we all say good-bye to a big piece of our hearts, but he says Hello to our heavenly father. We know he is dancing for joy, pain free and incredibly loved.
Visiting at Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Thursday from 6-8 pm. and on Friday, July 14, 2023 at LakePoint Family Church, 285 Talbot Street East, Leamington from 10:30 am until time of funeral service to celebrate Abe's life at 11:30 am. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
