Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kyker Funeral Homes - Sweetwater on Jan. 22, 2024.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever shall believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
-John 3:16
Ace Hunter Mason has just that, eternal life. He recited this verse daily. Jesus gifted the world with the most amazing little boy on March 26, 2015. Ace was greeted by Jesus with open arms on January 20, 2024.
He graciously gave the title of Mama to Lacey Thompson, Dad to Hunter Mason, Stepdad to Michael Thompson, and Sister to Addie Belle Mason. Those who knew Ace, even just a little, lost an incredible light in their life.
Ace loved laughs, baseball, junk food, sports of any kind, PlayStation, his family, and friends deeply. His greatest quality was his loyalty. In fact, he was overheard saying "you mess with him, then you mess with me!" He was unashamedly a self-proclaimed Mama's boy that proudly carried his man purse. He may have told me to tone down the lunch box notes, but quickly let me know he loved them. We made sure he had lunch box notes to share in heaven too. As a child his dad loved sneakers and jerseys. Ace proudly carried the tradition of rocking the coolest J's and jerseys daily.
To be honest, Ace truly had a perfect life. Proof of that has been shown by how he was deeply loved by his family, friends, and community.
Ace is preceded in death by the late Dood and Adeline Mason, Kenneth and Kit Mashburn, Reverend Charles Cassady, Jackie Green, Billy Packett and Frances Jiles.
Ace is survived by Mother Lacey Thompson & Stepdad Michael Thompson, Father Hunter Mason, and sister Addie Belle Mason. Grandparents Kenny and Teresa Mashburn, Jaqueline Mason, Richard Allen, Tommy Mason, Mike and Dawn Thompson, Lolita Thompson, and Shawn Ezell. Great Grandparents Lola Cassady and Mary Helen Green.
