Wendy Deanne Cummings

Wendy Deanne Cummings, age 50, of Sweetwater, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2026, after a long struggle of health complications. Born on July 21, 1975, Wendy was raised in Sweetwater and later lived in Lenoir City, where she faithfully attended church and built her life around her faith and family.

Wendy was a strong, kind-hearted woman whose family meant everything to her. She loved deeply and selflessly, always placing her children and grandchildren at the center of her world. Whether it was a family gathering, a quiet visit, or a simple phone call, she treasured every moment spent with them. Her warmth, strength, and caring spirit touched all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, William Anderson; Author Jess Shell; grandparents, Ben and Ernestine Kyker; and her beloved grandson, Knox Ritchey.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving parents, Steve and Belinda Shell; her three children, Skye (Gordon) Ritchey of Madisonville, Chandler (Olivia) Cummings of Athens, and Mason Cummings of Sweetwater; her brother, Brandon (Melissa) Shell; her grandmother, Alice Ann Anderson; her treasured grandchildren, Nash Ritchey, Myles Ritchey, and Khloe Cummings; her devoted partner, Heath Richardson, and his father, Jimmy Richardson; along with extended family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Wendy's love will continue to live on in the lives she shaped and the family she adored. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. followed by a 4:00 P.M. celebration of life service in Kyker's chapel with Rev.
