A.D. Havner, 85, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born in Iuka, Arkansas, on August 17, 1937, son of the late Adolph and Lucille (King) Havner. A.D. was united in marriage to Rita on January 1, 1991, in Salem, Arkansas. During his working years, A.D. worked as a sewing machine mechanic. After retirement, A.D. enjoyed working on automobiles, especially antiques. A.D. was a member of Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas, and loved the Lord. He loved his family and enjoyed family gatherings. A.D. enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing, until he was unable to do so.
A.D. is survived by his wife, Rita Havner of Salem, Arkansas; sons, Michael Havner and wife Christal of Salem, Arkansas, and Brian Wayne Worsham and wife Tatiana of Harker Heights, Texas; daughters, Lennora Pittman and husband Mark of Red Level, Alabama, Monica Lynn Estes and husband Jason of Salem, Arkansas, and Karan Nicole Dwyer of Mountain Home, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jeffery Vaulner, Brandi Pittman, Kaitlyn Havner, Mary Katherine Wilson, Clayton Estes, Lane Komm, Lance Komm, Maxine Worsham, Landon McEntire, Lathon Brown, Samantha Merritt and Mark Pittman, Jr.; great grandchildren, Ezra Tate Wilson, Sadie Leonard, Parker Leonard, Gabby McQuay and Jaiden Hutchison and nieces and nephews, Tommy Havner, Tony Havner, Dianna Rushing, Donna Davis and Dennis Havner.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jeffery Havner.
Pallbearers include: Adam Wilson, Clayton Estes, Lathon Brown, Lance Komm, Paul Hendrix and William Hollaway.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Salem First Baptist Church beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. John Hodges and Bro. Tom Doty officiating. Burial will follow services in Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
