Beryl Johnson Butler, 79, of Wagner, Texas, passed away on June 22, 2025, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Rowlett. Funeral and visitation services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Merit Cemetery.
Beryl was born March 22, 1946, in Pittsburg, Texas, to Charlie and Lora Johnson. She married Don Butler on August 3, 1963, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. She was a mother and homemaker and a member of the Floyd Baptist Church and the Hunt County Genealogy Society.
She is survived by her husband, Don Butler; sister Meryl Riley; son, Tim Butler and wife Kaye, daughter-in-law, Serena Butler; grandchildren Tera and husband Jeremy Newton, Nikita and husband Tommy Schumpert, Will and wife Lexi Butler, Roy Peters, Sam and wife Jennifer Peters, Amanda and husband Brandon Fugitt, Marcus Butler, Donovan Butler, Skyler Gibson, Aaron and wife Cheylynn Butler; great grandchildren Leah Peters, Brayden Peters, Brooklyn Schumpert, Cadence Michaels, Carter Peters, Mason Schumpert, Bradley Peters, Rylan Newton, Colson Newton, and Ryder Butler.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Butler; and six siblings.
Pallbearers will be Will Butler, Roy Peters, Sam Peters, Marcus Butler, Donovan Butler, Aaron Butler, Skyler Gibson, Tommy Schumpert, and Brandon Fugitt.
