Ada "Marie" Castle

Ada "Marie" Castle, 97, died February 1, 2026, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born on February 23, 1928, in Plevna, to George Henry and Letha Caroline (Hunt) Hooker.

Marie graduated from Plevna High School. She worked as a custodian for Cessna and Mitchell Grade School, before becoming the Emergency Coordinator of Sunrise Acres Highrise, South Hutchinson. Marie was very patriotic and was involved with the Hutchinson VFW, where she became president of the women's auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed bowling at Countryside Lanes and tending to the flowers at the Highrise. Marie also loved to play Bingo at Pleasant View Home, where she always chose a new pair of sunglasses as her prize.

Marie is survived by: her children, Gary (Paula) Fullerton of Maize, Patricia Roseberry, Daniel (Susan) Castle, both of Hutchinson; daughter-in-law, Lisa Fullerton of Bel Aire; grandchildren, Shane (Samantha) McAllister, Jason (Reyna) McAllister, Mark (Karin) Roseberry, Jennifer Perez, Daniel Castle, Jr., Megan (Shannon) Brinkmeyer, Jeff Fullerton, Adam (Anisa) Fullerton; numerous great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands, Franklin Benjamin Fullerton and Lawerence Watts "Larry" Castle; sons, Eddie Fullerton and Robert "Bob Beau" Fullerton; siblings, Charles Hooker, John Hooker, George Hooker, Jr., Frances Beitler, Myrtle Hooker, Ida Mae Gisick, Thelma "Fern" Kerns; son-in-law, Joe Roseberry; daughter-in-law, Nancy Fullerton; and granddaughter, Jessica Castle.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2026, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Hazen Cemetery, rural Plevna. Friends may sign her book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Family will greet friends from noon until the time of service Monday.
