Ada B. Cudd
Ada Blackwell Cudd, 80, wife of Billy Cudd, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 24, 2025 at her home after a brief illness.
She was a native and resident of Chesnee, SC. She was a dedicated member of Arrowwood Baptist Church, Chesnee, SC, where she was a member of the Golden Arrows Senior Citizens Group and Friends in Christ Sunday School Class. Ada was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her favorite moments were times spent with Olivia, her only granddaughter. She enjoyed going to the mountains, spending time with family, and going to church. She especially loved spending time with her friends, Judy Jolley and Norma Phillips.
Although Ada is gone, she will be remembered for her huge heart for others and her giving spirit. Ada also found joy in her career as Pharmacy Technician at Ford’s Drug Store from where she retired after many years of employment.
Surviving in addition to her husband Billy of 62 years; her 2 daughters, April Cudd Suarez and Tracy Cudd; granddaughter, Olivia Suarez Cudd; brother, Junior Blackwell and special nieces, Rexine, Freda and nephew Robby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Hattie Hood Blackwell; sister, Ruby Robbins and brothers, Cecil Blackwell and Billy Blackwell.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Arrowwood Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Reverend Larry Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, especially Lisa and Rena. We would also like to extend a special thank you to friends and family for the love extended during this difficult time.
