Phyllis G. Bryant
Phyllis Gail Bryant, 71, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones after an extended hospitalization with many challenges in the prior weeks. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life, sustaining her through every season, and her family was her greatest pride and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and devotion that will live on through those who were blessed enough to know her.
She was born on December 13, 1954, to the late Elford Fowler & Mary Crowe (Fowler) Johnston.
She was the loving wife of James Arthur “Artie” Bryant for nearly 31 years, cherishing the life that they had built together through the years. Along with her husband she is survived by her sons, John Edward Parton Jr. & William Joseph Parton, her daughters-in-law Jessica Parton & Melissa “Kelly” Parton; a brother, Bobby Johnston; her 6 grandchildren, Ashley Foy (Drew), Haley Parton (Kevin Mullinax), Keeley Harrell (Mark), Dalton “Trent” Parton, Kain Hughes-Parton, & Kaleb Parton; her 4 great-grandchildren Emma Foy, Evin Foy, Ethan Foy & Kenley Harrell, a special nephew, Rocky Johnston(Christi), 2 nieces & a number of great nieces and nephews.
In addition to both biological parents, she was reunited in Heaven with her stepfather, William “Bill” Johnston; her sister, Diane Campbell & her infant granddaughter Khloe Grace Parton.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 5th, 2026 from 5PM-7PM @ Harris-Nadeau Mortuary & Crematory.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 6th, 2026, 12:00 PM @ Southside Baptist Church in Chesnee. Pastor Camden Bagwell officiating. Graveside service to follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens.
