Ray Porter
Carroll Ray Porter, Jr., 69, husband of Sue Porter went home to be with the Lord, Monday, October 6, 2025 at Regional Hospice Home.
Born December 31, 1955 in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Carroll Ray Porter Sr. and Cleo Carter Porter. He was retired as a machinist with Beverage Air and a member of Mayo First Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Ray Porter (Jen) of Spartanburg, Chris Porter (Melissa) of Union Mills, NC.; brother, Ken Porter (Shelly) of Hickory Tavern; grandchildren, Shelby Porter, Emily Porter, Alyssa Stephens (Dusty), Chucky Porter, Emma Porter; great-grandchildren, Hannah-Rae, Dawn, C.J. Tavion, Emory, Emerson and Emberleigh.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Reverend Glenn Rusher officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
Family members are at the home.
