Ada Irene Eldridge

Ada I. Eldridge, age 78, of Ponce de Leon, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 27, 2024. Born on September 3, 1946, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, she was the beloved daughter of Paul Weimorts and Lula Mabel Williams Weimorts. Ada was a devoted woman of faith whose love for God and family was an admirable example of devotion and grace. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering belief in God's promises were an inspiration to all who knew her. She shared 58 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Freddy Eldridge, and together they built a legacy of love and dedication rooted in deep commitment that will live on for generations.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Freddy Eldridge.
Ada is survived by her son, Keith Eldridge, and his wife, Amanda; her daughter, Karen Byrd, and her husband, Stanley; her treasured grandchildren, Kaylee Byrd, Tyler Eldridge, Ryan Eldridge and wife Madison, Adam Eldridge and wife Ashlynn, Gage Eldridge, and Blake Byrd; and her precious great-granddaughter, Adalynn Eldridge. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Juanita Davis and Pauline Pendarvis; her brother, Fed Weimorts; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at New Ponce de Leon Cemetery, with Pastor Larry McGowan officiating.
Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home.
