Ada Mae (Jones) Johnson was born on September 11, 1941 in Tampa, Florida to Ethel and Sumpter E. Jones.
Ada was the youngest of nine children, 6 girls and 3 boys, all who are predeceased, she is survived by her sister Christine Jones-Speights.
Ada moved from Tampa Florida to Hartford Connecticut in 1964, she had 3 children, Willie Ernest Johnson, Jr. (predeceased), Keith Johnson and Deanna Dowdell.
A total of 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ada worked as a Bus Driver for Peter F. Kelly for children with special needs, she then went to A.I. Prince Technical School, for Dental Assisting and graduated in 1984, she worked in that profession for over 30 years and was employed with Dr. Laurence Neureither of Simsbury when she retired.
Ada will always be remembered for many things such as, her color coordinated outfits from head to toe, her beautiful smile that would light up a room, the way she loved off track betting (lol) and most of all the love she had for her family.
