Ada Marta La Barbera, lovingly known to many as Adin, passed away peacefully in her home on July 16, 2025, in Murrieta, California, at the age of 91. She was born on April 24, 1934, in Puerto Rico to Eleuterio and Mercedes. Ada lived a life marked by love, service, and devotion to both her family and community.

A proud graduate of New Paltz University, Ada earned her Master's degree in Teaching and went on to dedicate 25 years to education. She was honored as Teacher of the Year and touched countless young lives not only through academics but also with her love, kindness, and gentle guidance.

Ada was married for over 50 years to the love of her life, Peter La Barbera. They were each other's first and only love and built a beautiful life together. She is now reunited with Peter and their beloved son, Peter Jr., in eternal peace.

She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Tammy La Barbera; her cherished grandchildren, Autumn and Hudson La Barbera; siblings; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will carry her memory forward. As one of the oldest of 12 siblings, Ada played a central role in helping raise her family and was always there with an open heart and willing hands.

Faith and generosity guided Ada's life. A devoted woman who loved her church, she also had a deep passion for music, singing, gardening, and travel. She gave joyfully and regularly to charities such as The Salvation Army, Doctors Without Borders, and numerous children's organizations.

Ada's legacy is one of unwavering love, service, and strength. Her memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew her.

A celebration of Ada's life will be held with a graveside service at 10:00 AM on August 8, 2025, at Murrieta Valley Cemetery, 42800 Ivy St., Murrieta, CA 92562.
