Adalberto Velazquez, 77, a resident of Wappingers Falls since 2021 and formerly of Manhattan, died on September 24, 2025.

Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on February 27, 1948, he was the son of the late Carmen De Jesus & Juan Velazquez.

Al proudly served our country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and had been employed as an installation and maintenance field technician for Verizon in Manhattan. He loved riding his Harley, playing softball, traveling, camping, and reading philosophical books.

Al is survived by his sons, Adam "Garth" Velazquez and his partner Charles, and Adalberto "AJ" Velazquez; his grandson, Aiden J. Velazquez; his siblings, Ana Ortiz, Mary Texidor, Guelin Velazquez , Felix Velazquez, Miriam Gabino, Oscar Velazquez & Santos Velazquez; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nicolle Mastro; and his siblings Norma Bonilla, Juan Velazquez, Andy Velazquez & Carmen Espreo.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 8pm. Interment will be on Friday at 11am at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx with military honors.

Memorial donations may be made in Al's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital @ www.stjude.org.
