Adam Joseph Fuss

Adam Joseph Fuss, 39, passed away on November 16, 2025. Above all, Adam was a kind man. He was generous and supportive of his friends and family-sharing his time and technical skills, lending an ear, or giving a thoughtful gift-though his kindness was often cloaked in dry humor or grumbles (especially if it was early in the morning).

Born on March 26, 1986, Adam graduated from Holmen High School and attended UW- Platteville. At both places, he gathered lifelong friends. With some he played tennis or hockey, he excelled at the latter and captained the high school team, and with others he was in Boy Scouts, where he eventually became an Eagle Scout. He also persisted in playing the trombone throughout high school just to be with his friends in marching band.

More often than not, Adam and his friends were hauling their computers into each other's basements and dorm rooms to spend the whole night gaming, a practice they kept up remotely after college. They also traveled together to places like the Dominican Republic and Vegas and spent time together up north, swapping stories and experimenting with campfires. Adam found his career as a security technician through his family. After college, he moved to Beaver Dam to help take care of his young cousins and then went on to learn the ropes of his uncle's fire and safety business. He most recently worked as an installation tech for Per Mar Security Services in La Crosse.

Adam's legacy is his weird sense of humor, his quirky t-shirt collection, his calming demeanor, the bouquets of flowers he bought every Mother's Day, his encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture trivia, and his gift for making anyone feel comfortable. Adam is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lynn and Shirley Schneyer and Joe and Helen Fuss.

His surviving family includes his parents, Tim and Kathy Fuss and his sister, Erica Mukherjee (Abhik).

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 11:30am at Newman Center (1732 State St., La Crosse). It will be preceded by a visitation from 9:30-11:30am.
