Adam Lori

Adam Lori, age 92 of Macomb Township, Michigan, passed away in his home on October 7, 2021, surrounded by the love of his family.
Adam was born in Casamurana, Ascoli Piceno, Italy, on February 10, 1929, to Vincenzo and Ginetta Lori (Giachini). Adam was the first in his family to immigrate to Canada in 1949 on the Sobieski, through Pier 21 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and was then joined by his parents and three of his siblings
As a young man, Adam met his future bride and forever love, Lina Nardecchia, whom he married on October 29, 1955, at St. Angela Merici Church in Windsor. He immigrated for a second time in July 1956, to Michigan, where he would share 65 beautiful years together with Lina, raising their four children: Vincent, Luisa, Diana, and Dan.
Adam owned his own excavating business for many years and was renowned for his unparalleled love and ability to drive and use heavy construction equipment. He also had a passion for being outdoors, whether it be in his vegetable garden, pruning and harvesting from his fruit trees, tending to his chickens, or chopping wood to use to heat his home. He delighted in sharing his fruits and vegetables with friends and family.
His greatest passion, however, was spending time with his dear family and friends in the home he cherished. He will be forever remembered by all who loved him.
Adam is survived by his children, Vincent Lori, Luisa Solak, Diana Hart, Dan Lori, and Doreen Thibert; cherished grandchildren: Adam, Taylor, Lea, Gabriel, and Jorja; dear brothers: Italo Lori and Alfred Lori, and sister Agnese Tassotti. Adam is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and family in Italy, Canada, Australia, and the United States.
Adam was preceded in death by parents Vincenzo and Ginetta Lori, beloved wife Lina Lori (Nardecchia), and sisters Madalena Lori and Francesca Marini (Lori)
Visitation to take place on Sunday, October 17, from 2:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Private family entombment to take place at Resurrection Cemetery on Monday, October 18, where he will join his beloved wife, Lina. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a favorite charity or Hospice of Michigan.
