Adam Mauseth, age 36, of Iowa City, formerly of Marshalltown, died in the peace of his home on Thursday, September 7th, 2023.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14th at St. Francis of Assisi Parish- St. Mary's Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234.
Born on October 5th, 1986, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Norman and Lisa (Lang) Mauseth. His youth was highlighted by time spent on the Lang farm on Marion Street- earning $5.00 every time from grandpa "Urbie." He graduated from the Marshalltown High School in 2005 and later attended Mobile Dynamics Learning Center in Tempe, AZ.
At the time of his passing, he took great pride in being an electrician for Merit Electrical in Iowa City. His last project was electrical installations on the practice wrestling building at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, to which no detail was passed. This was a proud point in his life as he wrestled from elementary school through high school and therefore could leave his professional mark on this special place.
Adam was a multifaceted young man who enjoyed all types of music, encouraging others to do best in life, riding motorcycles, sending family YouTube videos daily and took pride in doing things right the first time- and would not settle for less from anyone else. He simply wanted better for this very challenging world we live in.
Left to cherish his memory is his adored mom, Lisa Lang of Marshalltown and her life partner "Pops" Kevin Schwartz; his daughters Lily June and Mila; brother Tyler (Danielle) Lang-Mauseth and their children Gwen and Kellen of Milwaukee; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In death, Adam rejoined his father Norman (143) and grandparents Urban, Gwen, Inez and Robert.
