Adam Monica Obituary
BOXFORD - Adam Della Monica, 46 of Boxford and Danvers, passed away suddenly, at home on Thursday, February 8th, 2024.
Born in Danvers, he was the son of F. Peter Della Monica and the late Julie (Gosselin) Della Monica. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School. Adam continued his education receiving an associate degree in nursing from North Shore Community College.
Adam worked for several years in the nursing field at several facilities throughout the North Shore, most recently Ledgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beverly. Prior to nursing he worked for Home Depot in their computer department for several years.
A daredevil at heart, Adam was always up for a new adventure. He loved trying new things and had many interests starting with his love of cars especially the Pontiac Trans AM GTA. He also enjoyed boating and fishing with family and friends. Adam was outgoing; seeing humor in all things, he was funny and loved making people laugh, his easy smile was hard to resist and endeared him to everyone he met. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Surviving Adam in addition to his father F. Peter is his daughter, Caitlin Julie Della Monica of Leominster, his brothers, Peter A. Della Monica and his wife Sheri of Boxford, Jason R. Della Monica of Danvers, as well nieces Madison and Sofia Della Monica. In addition Adam is survived by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024 from 11 AM to 12 PM (noon) followed by his funeral service at 12:30 P.M. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Adam's memory to Complex Regional Pain Syndrome https://rsds.org/. During the holidays at our beloved aunt Sylvia´s home, I´d wait anxiously to hear that front door to open and to see my loving older cousin, Adam, hug me and rock me to sleep. Never too cool or too busy if you brought a girlfriend or friends, you´d scoop me up, hold me tight and let me know how loved I was. Your voice was so soothing and your embrace was so comforting I´d fall asleep on your shoulder as you´d visit. I´m so sad that you´re gone and so sorry you´re no longer here. Such a kind and gentle soul. A true gentleman who would´ve given you the shirt off of his back while trying to make you smile. This loss is very great & my world is slightly dimmer...may your soul be embraced by our lost loved ones & The Lord. Love you always, your Arianna.
