Adam A. Sciascia, age 48, of Middletown, New York passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024.
Adam was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 7, 1976 to Adam and Loretta Sciascia. He graduated from Minisink Valley High School in 1996 and leaves behind his parents, loving sister Dana and brother Tom; his brother and sister in law Tom and Krissy; his nephews Tommy, Dominic and James; and his nieces/goddaughters Arianna and Chloe.
For those that knew Adam, he was always the brightest shining light that filled any room. He had a way about him that brought a smile to everyone's face the moment you saw him. He was a breath of fresh air to all who knew him, and was the first to give a compliment or a smile to brighten your day. Working as a greeter at Walmart for over 15 years, he spread joy to everyone he met with his bright personality and infectious laugh. Adam had extreme gratitude for those that helped him along the way and always expressed it by his kind words. If there are living angels on earth, he was definitely one of them.
Though Adam faced challenges in life, he never complained and always had a very positive mindset. If you asked him how he's doing, he would say "great!" and then ask all about you. He was the first to wish everyone happy birthday or anniversary – and was always there to provide never-ending love and support to his family and friends. Every morning, Adam's first thought was always to tell his mom and sister how beautiful they looked each day. He loved spending time with his immediate and extended family, especially his nieces and nephews who brought him great joy. Adam loved his mom's cooking, going on vacation, dancing to music and having fun wherever he was. He had a shine that could never be dulled and a smile that could never be dimmed.
Adam was extremely close with family, and he will be incredibly missed by all. We cannot imagine life without him, and hope he's walking again around Heaven, smiling down at us all from above.
Please join us to celebrate his life on Thursday, December 19th, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home at 130 Highland Ave Middletown, NY 10940.
