Adam Skokan-Guinn Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 5, 2025.
FORT WORTH - Adam Skokan-Guinn, 45, brilliant musician, devoted partner, loving brother, uncle, son and friend, passed away on February 24, 2025. He was born on April 12, 1979, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Adam was the type of person you could fall in love with after a single conversation. His sense of humor, adventurous spirit and kindness left an impact on everyone he met.
A talented musician from an early age, Adam played in several bands including Radia Euphoric, Ravna Gora, JoCo, A Pacific Model, Alan, and most recently a new project in its infancy stages: Ma. While he was most passionate about playing guitar, he was multi-talented, playing several instruments. He was highly regarded in the Fort Worth community for his proficiency as a sound engineer, mixing and programming sounds for numerous projects.
Musical loves and influences included REM, U2, The Moody Blues, Steven Wilson, Ride, James, The Notwist, Leonard Cohen, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Starflyer 59, Slowdive, Grandaddy, Pulp, David Byrne, The Afghan Whigs, David Bowie, Radiohead, Bjork, and The Beatles.
Adam was a locally-recognized chef and passionate about cooking, always researching and learning new techniques. He loved cooking for friends and family; he would frequently whip up restaurant-quality, mind-blowingly delicious meals seemingly with little effort.
Adam loved traveling and visiting friends in cities all over the country. He found joy in exploring new places and cultures. He had a particular love for the Pacific Northwest, including Portland, OR, the Columbia River Gorge and Multnomah Falls.
He is survived by his beloved life partner, Jenni Ellis; parents, Nora and Jeff Skokan-Guinn; brother, Grant Skokan-Guinn; nephew, Harrison Skokan-Guinn; uncles Robert Fernandez and Larry Wilson; mother-in-law, Kathy Ellis; father-in-law, Bob Ellis; and countless friends across the country.
A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth Texas 76107, on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life event planned at a later date.
We love you Adam.
