Adam Helmut Strobl

Adam Helmut Strobl, age 98, left this world peacefully on April 6, 2024, his heart filled with the love of his family. Born on November 18th, 1925, in a small German village in Karavukovo, Yugoslavia, his life was a vibrant tapestry woven with adventure and enduring love. His marriage to Waltraut "Trudy" Sekulla, began in Schoeppenstedt Germany on August 9, 1947. This marked the start of their lifelong partnership. Together, they crossed oceans in 1952, seeking a brighter future in America, a land that Adam embraced as his own with unwavering patriotism.
As a father, he instilled many positive values in Guenther and Kathleen such as a good work ethic and "Never say I can't". Adam was a skilled machinist, he built a fulfilling career at the Del Monte Company in Swedesboro, NJ, and Newton Tool in Wenonah, NJ. Yet, his true passion lay in the simple joys of life. In their Florida retirement, Adam and Trudy's laughter filled the room as they danced, played games with friends, and shared stories over kaffeeklatsch. Adam's spirit shone through his love of reading, his knack for crossword puzzles, his creative projects, and his heartfelt poems. His leadership as President of the Friendship Club in North Port brought a sense of community and belonging.
Adam's absence leaves an ache in the hearts of many: his son Guenther, daughter Kathleen and her husband Tom, sister Baerbel, his predeceased brother Hans, and their beloved families. As well as many nieces, nephews and friends near and far. His legacy lives on in his grandchildren Christine, Michael, Thomas, (Krista), Joseph, (Michele)and Theresa; his great-grandchildren Rachel, Hailey, Melissa, Christian, Joshua, Rebecca, Adam, Anita, and Lily; and his great-great-grandchildren Hailey and Luca. Adam's light touched countless lives, and the warmth of his memory will forever comfort those who knew and loved him.
His last moments were spent at the Tidwell Hospice House in Port Charlotte. Their exceptionally caring staff made his transition a beautiful and peaceful experience.
