Addie Walden Finney was born on May 19, 1950, in Camilla Georgia to the late Nora Robinson Walden and John Walden.

She attended school at Oak Grove Elementary and Pelham School. As a youth she was a member of the Oak Grove A.M.E. Church.

She was united in marriage in 1971 to James Finney Jr. They were married for fifty-four years and lived happily in Baconton, Georgia. She then became a member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Baconton Georgia where she was deaconess, and secretary of the church.

She worked as a seamstress at Draftings Sewing Factory in Camilla, Georgia and Doerun Manufacturing in Doerun, Georgia in the 1980's and 1990's. She also worked in maintenance at Walmart in Moultrie, Georgia where she retired in 2019.

She was a loving and caring wife that took care of all of her family. She was blessed to have stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces and nephews that she raised as her own. Her and her family have shared many wonderful memories together.

On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, Addie's earthly journey ended when she answered the Master's call to come home at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Lorene Walden, Betty Ann Walden, Johnnie Lousie Walden Johnson and her brother James Walden.

Addie is survived by her loving husband, James Finney Jr. of Baconton, Georgia; her daughter, Trista Finney of Baconton, Georgia; her step-son Travis Wheeler Sr. of Albany, Georgia. Those she raised as her own children, Anthony Daniels of Valdosta, Georgia, Theresa Daniels of Thomasville, Georgia. A sister, Pearl Williams of (Miami, Florida; her grandchildren, Tihanna Finney-Clowers and Ariel Finney-Clowers of Baconton, Georgia, Travis Wheeler Jr. and Athalia Wheeler of Albany, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Ruby Wright Lemons of Camilla, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
