Mrs. Addie L. Jones Maples Hensel, age 82 of Park Rapids, MN, formerly of Flippen, GA passed away Monday, April 16, 2007 at North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji, MN. Addie was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 19, 1925 to the late James Bartow and Julia Leola Heath Jones. She was raised and attended school in Atlanta, GA. Addie met her first husband, Glen Maples at the PX at Fort MacPherson Army Base. They were married on February 29, 1944 and were blessed with five children and 25 years together. Glen passed away on April 16, 1969. On March 22, 1972, Addie was united in marriage to Willis �Buck� Hensel, and they made their home in Osage Township, MN for 35 years. Survivors include her husband, Willis Hensel of Park Rapids, MN; children, Judy and Harold Elrod of Locust Grove, GA, Linda Truxton of Bemidji, MN, Bill and Jackie Maples of Flippen, GA, Ilene Maples of Park Rapids, MN; sister in law, Nan Jones; grandchildren, Amy Elrod, Fred Elrod, Jason Elrod, Cathi Kilian, Jeff Truxton, John Truxton, Chad Hensel, Brandy Rodine, Josh Hensel, Casey Hensel, Mary Evink; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Gene Maples; granddaughter, Sarah Elrod; sister, Bernice Moore; brothers, Millard and Harry Jones. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Greg Pope will officiate. Interment will follow at Flippen Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 12:00 Noon until hour of service. Pallbearers will be Fred Elrod, Jason Elrod, Terry Kilian, Jimmy Moore, Jeff Truxton, and Richard Jones.
