Adele "Ena" Shanta returned home to be with her Lord on August 22, 2025. Ena was born on February 16, 1953. She was raised in Three Rivers, New Mexico and attended school in Tularosa, New Mexico.
Ena moved to Berkeley, California where she graduated high school. She returned home to Mescalero and worked as a painter, cook, and home maker.
Ena is survived by her son, Blaine Magooshboy and sisters Cindy Kayitah and Ruby Jean Shanta.
Ena is preceded in death by her infant son Sheldon Ray Chino, her mother Vera Shanta, and her beloved "Gramps" Ralph Shanta Sr.
