Adele P. Suny

Adele P. Suny (nee Ruffo Green), age 80, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on May 10, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1942, Adele was the daughter of the late George and Louise (nee Marco) Green. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. Adele was an avid crafter and an accomplished model and seamstress. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Journey, Foreigner, and Alice Cooper.

Adele was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Suny; loving mother of George L. Suny, Adele P. Suny, Natalie S. Torpey, Bobbi Ann Suny, and Ralph J. Suny, caring grandmother of Sara Brown (Shawn), Ralph Suny (Rose), Devin Whelan (Brittany), Robert Suny, Vincent Torpey, Damien Whelan (Alexandria), Joseph Torpey, Robin F. Barras (Randy), Victor Abarca (Nina), Adam Abarca, and Lisa Mathew (Gary)  and great-grandmother of eight; dear sister of Louann Wainwright (Tim); predeceased by her siblings, Marylou Carosi, and Anthony Ruffo; also survived by many, many nieces and nephews. Especially Timothy A. Wainwright (Maria) and Rita McGarry (Chris), whom she loved like her own children.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300, followed by her Memorial Service at 12:00 PM. Interment private.
