Adele Wehde Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium, Inc. on Nov. 25, 2025.
Adele Charlotte Wehde March 18, 1953-November 23, 2025
Adele Wehde passed away on November 23 surrounded by family after a short, courageous battle with cancer.
Adele was born on March 18, 1953 in Prospect Park, PA to Elsie Nielssen. She loved to reminisce about those days. She moved to Delaware where she got to spend her life as a stay at home mom to her three children. She later went on to have a career in catering where she made lifelong friends. When Adele finally retired, she spent her time relaxing with her children and her dog Della. She absolutely loved going to the beach and rooting for her Philadelphia Eagles. She spent most of her free time crafting and decorating her "little house" as she called it.
Adele is preceded in death by her Mother, Elsie Nielssen and her Aunt and Uncle, Ruth & Don Vought. She is survived by her son Robert Wehde, Jr. and his wife Katrina, her son Nick Wehde and his wife Jessica, her daughter Kristen Rathof and her husband Rick, and her beautiful granddaughters Taylor Ford & Haley Wehde. She is also survived by her beloved dog Della, her "baby girl". Adele is missed and loved by the many family and friends she has made in journey of life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to AccentCare Hospice.
A Celebration of Life for Adele will be held on December 14th downstairs at The Fish Whistle at The Granary Marina from 1:00pm-4:00pm.
