Adolfo Genera Marquez, 81, passed away peacefully at Peppi's House Hospice in Tucson, Arizona on September 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Adolfo, a lifelong resident of Silver City, NM was born September 22, 1944, in Tyrone, NM.
Adolfo was a proud Marine Sergeant veteran who served two tours in Vietnam. While serving proudly in the Marines, he was awarded several honorable medals. (National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service *2 and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal).
Adolfo enjoyed spending time and sharing war stories with his loving family. He was also a proud graduate of Silver High School, Silver City, NM.
Adolfo is survived by his son Gabriel; daughters Christy, Rita, Maria; brother Roberto Triviso; grandchildren Michael, Michelle, Marcos, Jade, Marcus, Mikey, Ryan; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Layne and Ayden. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Marquez, Natalia Genera, loving wife Gloria Marquez and his son Adolfo James Marquez Jr.
Visitation for Mr. Marquez will begin on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 8:00 am to 09:30 am at Baca's Funeral Chapel in Silver City. The Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 am and the funeral mass will be celebrated immediately thereafter at St. Francis – Newman Center. Burial will take place at 1:00 pm at Ft. Bayard National Cemetery with full military Honors.
Serving as Pallbearers are Ruben Vasquez, Edward Vasquez, Rick Vasquez, Jaime Triviso, Marcos Duarte and Larry Altamirano.
Honorary Pallbearers are all his loving compadres.

My Heart Goes Out To The Family. Adolfo was good man always loving and kind to everyone. He will be greatly missed But his legacy will live in our hearts forever .. My Deepest Condolences To All. May God Be With You.
