Dr. Adrian Smith Lineberger

Dr. Lineberger was born on January 2, 1929 and passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017. Dr. Lineberger was a resident of North Carolina at the time of passing. He graduated with honors in 1952, and married the love of his life, Libba Roe, in 1953 during medical school at UNC. After graduating from medical school in 1955, his medical residencies in Pathology carried him into the United States Air Force in which he reached the rank of Captain while serving at Ohio State University and at Scott Air Force base near St. Louis. His sports allegiances were to his alma mater, the Tar Heels, followed closely by the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, from where his four sons collectively received five degrees.
