The Funeral Service for Mr. Adrian Lamar Wright of Americus, Georgia will be held Saturday February 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Baptist Church, 142 Graves Spring Road, Leesburg, Georgia.
Adrian Lamar Wright was born on December 1, 1974, in Sumter County, Georgia to the parentage of Ethel Hollis (Emmett) Wright of Americus, Georgia and the late James Wright of Leslie, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Willie James Hollis and Annie L. Hollis, Micheal Charles Wright I and Julia Lee Wright; and lifelong partner/family, Tukeiko Walters.
Adrian Lamar Wright attended Americus High School. Lamar started a trucking career and enjoyed being out on the road. He was a cherished father, brother, and friend. Lamar was the life of the party, and his smile lit up any room he entered. His greatest joys in life were his children, family, cooking, and fishing.
He leaves loving memories to be cherished by his two children: Kabron Wright and La'Mia Wright; his siblings: Amy (Jerome) Williams of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Quincy Wright of Kathleen, Georgia, Alicia Wright, Johnathan (Andria) Wright, and Keshawn White all of Americus, Georgia; his nieces and nephews: Samonne, Miriah, Tedajah, Jamaya, India, Ashton, Jaden, Jalen, and Prince; his aunts and uncles: Earl Cherry, Sr. of Americus, Georgia, Willie Mae (Lawrence) Goodman of Willingboro, New Jersey, Annette Tyson of Greensboro, North Carolina, Betty Daniels of Americus, Georgia, Martha (Malcolm) Grant of College Park, Georgia, Mae Lizzie Hollis of Americus, Georgia, Willie James (Mary Ann) Hollis Jr. of Americus, Georgia, James (Tracy) Hollis of Reading, Pennsylvania, and Harry Wright of Leslie, Georgia.
He also leaves his cherished memories with his brother and friend, Travaris Williams, Sr. of Americus, Georgia; his devoted cousin, Keithon Hayslip; his devoted friends: Tanzy Banks, and Montaya Davis; a host of other family and friends.
