Aeolian Reed Chapman, age 97, a resident of Brownsville, TN, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Brownsville, TN, with Dr. James Coffman and Dr. Joe Pettigrew officiating. The burial will follow at the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 12 noon - 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church.
Aeolian Reed Chapman was born on February 27, 1927, to William Gilford Reed and Olivia Thornley Reed in Ripley, TN. She took great pride in loving and caring for her family through the years as a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a great sports fan and enjoyed working puzzles. She was very fond of her yorkies and loved them dearly.
She is survived by her two sons, Frank Chapman and Tommy Chapman (Melinda) all of Brownsville, TN; one daughter, Mary Beth Franklin (Mark) of Starkville, MS. She leaves a legacy of love for her grandchildren, Camon Franklin, Rob Franklin (Rachael), Knox Chapman, Hayden Chapman, Will Chapman, Reed Chapman, Mary Ellen Chapman, and great-grandchildren, Henry Franklin and Isabel Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Fullalove Chapman, Sr.; her parents, William Gilford Reed and Olivia Thornley Reed; one brother, William Gilford Reed, Jr.; one sister, Elizabeth Reed Baddour, and one grandchild, Tanner Chapman.
Pallbearers for the service will be Rob Franklin, Knox Chapman, Hayden Chapman, Will Chapman, Reed Chapman, Reed Hill, and Brian Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Hill, George Moss, Sr., Richard Adkerson, Jim Waddell, Dr. Robert Rooks, Hank Franklin, Tommy Tomlinson and Dan Craig.
