Agapita S. Hernandez, 80 years old, of Waukegan, Illinois peacefully passed away on December 4th, 2025.
Agapita was born in North Dakota on September 20th, 1945 to Santos and Apolinar Sepeda. She spent her childhood being raised in Carrizo Spring, Texas. She had a loving nature, spending many years as a dedicated caregiver, later retiring.
Agapita is survived by her Son David Hernandez (Shirley); Daughter Sylvia Hernandez; Grandchildren Tony Hernandez (Lucy), Wendy Hernandez (Brian), Jessica Hernandez - Diaz (Hector); Great grandchildren Janessa Hernandez, Isabella Marchese; Great great grandchildren Josiah Dario Diaz; 4 sisters, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her Husband Jose M. Hernadez Jr.; Father Santos Sepeda; Mother Apolinar Rumalda S. Segura; Brothers Frank Sepeda and Juan Jose Balderas.
Please join us in remembering the life of Agapita, who brought joy and love to so many lives. Visitation will be held at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington St. Waukegan, IL, 60085 on Saturday December 20th, 2025, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Service will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow after, at Ascension Catholic Cemetery located at 1920 Buckley Rd., Libertyville, IL, 60048.
