Agnes Bergin Obituary
She was born and raised in West Brighton and graduated from Saint Peter's Girls High School. She married George Bergin in 1956 and they raised 3 children-Maryellen, George & John in Grant City. Agnes loved her job at Saint Vincent's Hospital where she was an ER clerk with her sisters. Agnes loved watching her sports. Especially golf, tennis & baseball. She also enjoyed many trips to Atlantic City with her husband. Agnes lived a wonderful life. She is predeceased by her husband George, son John and her five brothers and sisters.
Agnes is survived by her children Maryellen O'Rourke (Mike), George (Marguerite), 10 grandchildren and 13 great grand children.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 22, from 4-8 PM at Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY 10306. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 23, from 10:30-11:30 AM at St. Christophers Roman Catholic Church, 130 Midland Ave, Staten Island, NY 10306, followed by a burial from 12-12:30 PM at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Rd, New York City, NY 10306.

My condolences to her family. She technically recently passed but her heart passed on September 11, 2001 when she lost her beloved son NYC Firefighter John Bergen. Thank you for your service to our community. Rest in peace. Semper Fidelis
