Agnes Marie Brandon, 84, of Gainesville, Texas passed away November 12, 2025 at River Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center of Gainesville, Texas. She was born on September 8, 1941 in Muenster, Texas to Andrew and Annie Augusta (Sicking) Hacker.
Agnes graduated from Muenster Public School in 1960. She then went on to marry the love of her life, JY Brandon on June 18, 1960 in Gainesville, Texas. She worked for many years at Valley View ISD and Era ISD in the cafeteria. Her specialty was the hot rolls and all the children loved them. She loved spending time with her three grandchildren. She attended Rosston Baptist Church and Open Range Cowboy Church of Krum. She enjoyed gardening and canning and she loved to play dominoes, her favorite being, "42". She was also a member of Rosspoint TEEA Ladies for 50 years. Agnes is dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Agnes is survived by her daughter Beverly Fleitman (Charles) of Gainesville, her son Stan Brandon (Rachel) of Ponder and her grandchildren; Aaron Fleitman (Tiffany), JT. Brandon, Ashley Brandon and great granddaughter Hadley Fleitman. Her brothers; Louie Hacker (Paula), Jim Hacker (Lynda), Kenneth Hacker (Wanda), Walter Hacker (Lauri) and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband JY Brandon, her parents Andrew and Annie Hacker, sister Anna Margaret Temple and her brothers; John Hacker, Hank Hacker, Robert Hacker, Ed Hacker, Paul Hacker and Freddy Hacker.
The family will receive friends at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 5:30PM - 7:30PM. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Rosston Baptist Church. Interment will be at Rosston Cemetery.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for River Valley Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Solaris Hospice, Dr. Larry Sears, and Dr. Elaine Schilling for their care.
