Funeral services for Darlene Causey, 60, will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Rose-Neath from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Brother Scott Shirley.
Darlene was born on October 26, 1964, in Shreveport, Louisiana to George and Geraldine "Jerry" McClain and passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in Shreveport.
Darlene was a resident of Shreveport where she graduated from Fair Park High School in 1982. She was married to the love of her life, Ronald Causey, for 41 years. Together they took adventures and saw many beautiful places. Rarely apart, their love for each other and for Christ offered a solid foundation for a beautiful marriage. She has worked as an Administrative Assistant for over 40 years. Her interests included LSU sports, cruises and travel, and spending time with her loved ones. She was an active member of her church, Emmanuel Baptist, and loved spending time with her church family as well as her own.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, George and Geraldine "Jerry" McClain; brother-in-law, Noel D. Willis; father-in-law, Fred Causey; nephew, Blake Causey; and various aunts and uncles. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Ronald Causey; brothers, James Garsee and wife, Connie, Terry Causey and wife, Pawn, Raymond Causey and wife, Mary, Stephen Causey and wife, Darlene, and Mark Causey and wife, Peggy; sisters, Linda Brown and husband, Cooter, Lou Anne Augspurger and husband, Doug, and Donna Willis. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and family friends.
Honoring Darlene as pallbearers will be Jeffery Brown, Justin Brown, Jeremy Jones, Kyle Causey, Chris Causey, and Cody Causey. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her brothers-in-law, nephews, and great-nephews.
