Agnes Elizabeth Ellis, age 94, of Port St. Joe, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday morning, November 15, 2025, in Deland, Florida. She was born in Southport, Florida on January 11, 1931, and was a lifetime resident of Bay and Gulf counties.
Agnes was a devoted and loyal wife to her beloved Kenneth for six decades. She was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Agnes was a longtime member (over 50 years) of the Oak Grove Assembly of God Church and served in numerous roles for over 40 years. Family, friends, and service to her church were her love and passion. She was a talented cook, and loved to sew, quilt, tell jokes and read her bible. She touched the life of every person she encountered and made friends wherever she went with her energetic smile and positive outlook on life.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Perry Ellis, her parents Jerry Creamer and Rebecca Creamer, brothers Millard Creamer, Ray Creamer, and Willard Creamer, sisters Lucille Horton, Betty Creamer, Dolly Brant, and Shirley Knight.
She is survived by her only child, daughter Regina Tyus and son-in-law Max Tyus, only grandchild Tyla Tyus Rizzolo (Angelo), and one great-grandchild, Angelo Joseph Rizzolo 111, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 20, at 11 a.m. (EST) at Oak Grove Church in Port St. Joe with Reverend Max Tyus and Reverend David Fernandez officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (EST) at Oak Grove Church. Interment will follow at the Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe.
