Agnes Maybin

Agnes James Maybin was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 7, 1932 to Willie Stanley Sr. and Leona James. She attended schools in Jacksonville, FL and received her early education at local schools and graduated from Stanton (Class of 49). She later met and married Alphonso Maybin in New York, NY. She was a member of The Bethel Church for over 20 years.

She departed this life on August 12, 2025, and was preceded in death by Sons: Ronnie James Sr. (Vicki) and Larry James (Judy); Grandchildren Velvet James and Jeffrey Jackson; Parents: Willie Stanley & Leona James; Brothers: Justice Collier, Hanson Moore, Levi Moore, Willie Stanley Jr., and Joseph James (Shirley); Sisters: Juanita Wynn, Mildred Moore Faine

and Sheila Miller (John).

She leaves to mourn her passing: A Devoted Daughter: Leslie Maybin; Grandchildren: Ronnie Jr., Mundae, Asiah, Ronnie III, Sade (Sherod), Trevious, Shan (Jermaine), Farryn, Donovan, Atasha, Antonio, Lashell (Shedrick) & Rashad (Angela); 46 Great grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren; Brother: Henry Arnold James (Bernice); and a Host of nieces and nephews, and longtime devoted caregiver and friend Davina Smith.
