Agnes Marie Oliphant, 92, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Four Season Living Center in Sedalia. She was born on February 15, 1930 in Hartman, AR, the daughter of Ray Whitaker and Alice (Drew)Whitaker, who preceded her in death.
On March 24, 1948 in Hartman, AR, she was united in marriage to Fred Oliphant, who preceded her in death on December 28, 1990.
Agnes was a homemaker and worked as a Secretary at Hollister High School, outside of Branson, MO. She was a member of the Lawson United Christian Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder. Agnes enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and listening to music. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Leann Clemons and Lisa Yonce (Cayle) all of Sedalia; four grandchildren, C.J. Clemons, Cassie Clemons, Chelsea Clemons (Henser), and Hannah Yonce (Donavan); and five great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Frank of Augusta, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Agnes was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
The family had a private viewing time on December 4, 2022 at Rea Funeral Chapel. There will be no formal services held.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel. Interment of the cremains will be held at a later date in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hartman, AR.
